This Privacy Policy explains how MBA South Africa (Pty) Ltd t/a Maison Monbeau (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit or purchase from our South African store, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Information We Collect

Device information collected automatically (browser, IP address, time zone, cookies, pages and products viewed, referral source) and order information you provide (name, billing and shipping address, payment information, email, phone). Together these are your “Personal Information”.

Card details are entered directly into the secure Payfast by Network gateway and are never stored by us.

How We Use It

To fulfil and deliver orders, process payment, issue invoices and confirmations, screen for fraud, communicate with you, and — where you have opted in — send marketing relevant to our products. Device information also helps us secure and improve the site.

Sharing

We share Personal Information only as needed with our payment gateway (Payfast by Network), delivery partners, and platform and analytics providers (e.g. Shopify, Google Analytics), and to comply with law or protect our rights. We do not sell your Personal Information.

Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies, log files and pixels to operate and analyse the site. You can disable cookies via your browser settings; some features may then not work. We do not alter data practices in response to Do-Not-Track signals.

Your POPIA Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Information, and object to processing, by emailing support@monbeau.co.za. Queries are handled by email to maintain a written record. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).

Retention

We retain order information for our records and legal obligations unless and until you ask us to delete it.

Minors

The site is intended for individuals 18 years or older.
